Judy’s Sweet Story

Judy was homeless, unemployed, and living with a benign brain tumor. Being homeless had been hard for her. She was assaulted and was sent to the hospital to recover where she received a diagnosis and treatment for her tumor. Everything felt like it was going downhill for Judy.

When she was released from the hospital, The Journey Home referred Judy to an employer. She got the job and rode her bicycle to work. It didn’t matter what the weather was – rain, snow, or cold – Judy showed up for her shift.

The next step was working with Judy to find her a place to live and working alongside her to help budget her money. Then, thanks to a generous donor, The Journey Home was able to give Judy a vehicle, helping change her life. Judy is now moving forward and stable with a place to live, a job, and a vehicle to get to and from work.
